Carefree forest is an old-growth forest located next to the Sun Link Sea. There is a beautiful lake formed after the 921 earthquake. The unique scenery attracts many tourists who love photography to visit.

Transportation: By car (about 35 minutes)or take bus + shuttle bus (8 minutes) or walk (40-60 minutes)

Reminders:
1. The trail might be muddy and slippery, please wear proper shoes.
2. Winter is the dry season of Xitou, we recommend that you avoid visiting Carefree Forest in the winter to have a better chance to enjoy the beautiful reflaction on the lake.
